The Yamaha Enticer. Great looks, excellent comfort, but performance, well.....not so good.
The Yamaha Enticer, launched in India after the SAFE success of the Kawasaki Eliminator. Well, the low seating gives an exceptional amount of comfort and a good amount of control. Even the guys who arent very tall, can now boast of placing their feet firmly on the ground with these bikes.
The Kawasaki Eliminator was a success, after watching which, Yamaha launched its Enticer. The advertisement was very catchy too. It did get my eye and I wanted to check out the bike, but hey....neither does it come close to the pickup, speed, sound or even the mileage of the Eliminator.
The sound of Eliminator is rich, whereas the Enticer sounds more like the upgrade of the Yamaha RX 100, one of the most preferred bike amongst youngsters even today. The comfort level of the Yamaha enticer is great. When you fall in the low seat, it makes you feel not just very comfortable but also secure. The turning radius can be reduced by the rider owing to the better control in the Enticer.
Overall a good bike, except it made me feel like the engine wasnt an innovation, just an upgrade. The pickup however could have been improved on.
Its worth a ride though.
PS: I apologize if this review sounded more like a comparison between the Kawasaki Eliminator and the Yamaha Enticer, but hey, we are talking of the family of low seated bikes, the later being inspired by the former, the Enticer cannot be talked about without the mention of the Eliminator.
