Hey there,
Been away from writing for while!
Well, coming back to the topic, Enticer, or call it problem-oriented-bike. No matter what, no matter how hard you try to keep it in ship-shape, she just wont give up the performance, to say that her performance is below par will be an understatement!
It been 32, 000km for me, two and half years, and there has been not one time, during its regular services, that I prayed the service interval were shorter! The bike was plagued with problems in its early days as well.
I may sound harsh, many may say, I didnt take care of it properly, or rode it rashly, well just for F.Y.I, I am a mileage guy! drove it constantly at 40-45kmph all my life on pot-hole ridden rodes of PUNE.
Since I mentioned Pune, that explains the part that the shock absorbers were non-existent on the bike... Infact my friends force someone to ride pillion with me as a punishment, since the rear shock absorbers treat the passengers royally.
As things were going wrong all the while, to make matters worse, the Service center too sucked big time. A request had to blared out to them with over 3 visits.
Lets not leave out the final drive, the great chain, the one and only!! Which adds flavour to your riding! with the constant clang-clang youll never regret liking grunge rock! The chain needed attention every 200km I guess..
The handle lock on the bike, well, what more can I say, ive changed it 4 times, dunno, whats there in that teeny-weeny side-lock, that it keeps getting stuck in the lock cavity.
Thats the bike review, update rather! Quite a contrast to what I had written when I had bought the vehicle!
The other good thing is that Yamaha finally shut the doors on the machine! After creating legends, they expect this wannabe to carry on the name, well.. I dont see it that way..
A sad bike indeed..
