My dream machine

Hi all,

I am new to this wonderful site...and this is my very 1st review.

I got myself an enticer 10 days back...n I am thrilled with the bike.

1st of all, what made me purchase this bike?

1> dashing looks - I think it looks better than even the eliminator!

2> comfortable riding

3> decent pickup and mileage...

4> little lower saddle height ...suits my 5’5’’ frame..

Now, heres my experience with it.

Though the yamaha dealers have told me not to cross 50 Kmp, I have driven at more than 60 kmph on occassions...hope it doesnt damage the bike..

The riding is very very comfortable.....the big footboards n the step seat are really wonderful....it has got a decent pickup......though nothing to rave abt...but u can beat the ordianry bikes like splendor etc any time...

Last but not the least, the bike looks awesome....I can see gals staring at me while I drive this beauty...

Also, the roadgrip is wonderful...the rear tyres are huge!! I was able to avoid an accident only bcpz of this!

And, I am getting a mileage of 50+ even before the 1st service...hope it’ll improve after that

ONE QUERY: I tried to increase the speed beyond 70 and it was not moving any faster....I wanna know what speeds u guyz have driven ths upto....does it require sometime to go to 80+ speeds?

Now, the cons... a bike with this size needs some more firepower...I hope yamaha comes up with a 150 or 175 cc version of this one..Also, a fuel gauge is needed deparately...

TIME TO UPDATE THE REVIEW

-------------------------------------

I have been driving this baby for the last 6 months, 6000 kms on the odo...one major accident, many long rides and I am now in a position to give some more useful comments on this bike.

!st of all, the bike goes to 102-103 kmph in stock form and gives a mileage of around 45 in city condtions...but the mileage depends a lot on your driving style. I drive like crazy and I get around 38-40 in Bangalore. This is not a mileage bike guys!!

The bike is very comfortable for long rides, the seating posture is gr8...personally I have done a 3-day 1200 km trip on this bike and it was gr8...no pain in the back, shoulders or butt. But the suspension is little hard I guess.

The handling is gr8 for a cruiser, I can lean a lot in the turns, thnx to the fat rear tyre.

The braking is gud, even the drums are gr8.

LIST OF MODIFICATIONS DONE:

------------------------------------------

1. Ported the bike for more power. Now pickup is gr8, almost same as fiero, and top end is also improved..I touch 110 many times, max I have hit 115 on the bangalore-hasan highway. NH48. cost around 3K .

2. Halogen headlight , for nite driving, But I need even better headlight...anyone has any ideas please get back to me. cost 90 bucks

3. Metal rivets around the seat to give it a true cruiser look. Cost 250 bucks.

4. Disc brakes -- absolutely necessary coz I drive at very high speeds. Cost 5.5 K

5. Gas-filled rear shock absorbers(claimed to be imported) gives excellent ride quality... cost around 2 K.

PLANS:

Thinking abt a K&N filter and a bigger carburettor and jet....if anyone has any ideas abt this please get in touch.
