Yamahas FZ-S model has been the choice of youngsters since it came to the market.
The main reasons behind this is the good looks, low price and great mileage of the bike.
Yamahas dual tone street fighter FZS V2.0 feels overpriced when compared to other 150cc segment bikes in India. It carries fuel injection and comes out to be the only bike with this technology around its price tag. It rivals Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet 160R. The engine on the Yamaha FZS is ultra smooth 149cc unit producing 12.9 BHP and 12.8 Nm of torque.
This bike is costlier than FZ16 by two thousand rupees. Its a smart tactic by Yamaha as this way, they are prompting those buyers who want to buy the regular FZ16 but due to less price difference they may opt for the expensive one with visor and different colour schemes. Till now this formula has worked for Yamaha. It would have been more successful if Yamaha would have offered this bike with a rear disc brake.
