Yes u heard wright! The yamaha replaced the fz v 1 into fz v2.0 fi into a debatable credit. Many liked the changes bought into it but from my personal view the changes are debatable. Among the craze of young bikers the fz series was already a lighter one and yamaha made fz v2 2-4kgs more lighter in order to add fi(fuel injection) technique to upmost level and also to add more mileage! However it went negative way the lighter the vehicle the double the impact of braking failure and injury. Lets spec it out earlier the old v1 came with 153cc engine and now v2 camewith 149cc engine, the fuel injection is required to be cleaned after every 6000kms which is a headache in specs of maintenance. The spares of this bike is almost costly than any othe model! The old carburetter technique was more effecient in this case for mileage. Now v2 gives hardly 40kms/ltr however earlier was up to 55kms/ltr
