If you are passionate about bikes then FZs is the bike which you can choose by close your eyes. from stunts to long drive with girlfriend it really a awesome machine. superb stability and a silent aggression you can feel from the first ride. its 153 cc engine can produce max. 14bhp/14nm torque and wide100/60 front & 140/60mm rare wheels makes this beast enough quick & stable when signals glow green.
TOP SPEED:
The thing which is not shown in any where or l’il confusing that is the TOP SPEED!
honestly the bike is very comfortable up to 85 -90 kmph. in top gear, after that you have to really push harder to cross 100 -105+ kmph.(my personal experience is 114 kmph after push it a lot) but nothing to embarrass, coz up to 80kmph no other bike in the same segment can read your number plate. Cornering is fantastic, you can lean your bike as much your heart can permit.
spare parts are l’il bit costly than the others, so if you crashed then it will create a big difference in your monthly budget to make it as it was.so, it is not a bike for under 18 or rookie bikers.
LOOKS:
About looks there is no words to say coz its already 3years the bike is in the road, you all know how its looks.
PERFORMANCE UP GRADATION:
As there is no other naked street fighters are having the same looks if you want to upgrade its performance with out loosing a huge money on Daytona kits or TBR exhaust system then you can try a K&N air filter on it. which is cost less than Rs. 2000( RC 1060 fits FZ better) . it will increase the acceleration/ pick up of your bike surprisingly. you wont find any massive change in the top speed, (my personal best is 121kmph with K&N air filter in 2011 FZS after a very hard pushing)
the sound changes impressively. for sure it turns every ones head to your bike. but you have to compromise the the fuel efficiency a little( approx. 2 - 3 kmpl)
FUEL EFFICIENCY:
About fuel consumption, every Riders knows very well that efficiency of fuel is depends up on the way you are riding, the condition of road/ traffic & the quality of fuel which can not be ignore presently.
still with considering all are positive it can manage average of 40 to 45 kmpl. in FZS for better mileage you have to take care about the air pressure in the tires as it provides tubeless tires so, less air pressure wont create any big problem for riding the bike but reduce the average mileage per liter surprisingly. you must check air pressure once in a week & not to use the puncture kit( which dealers are recommend to buy) when it is not very urgent to use it. coz after few days it will start to leak air from the same puncture that you have repaired.
Still it is the best bike according to me in its segment, its really "The lord of the streets" and you love to be a proud owner of a Yamaha FZS. Trust me! Trust YAMAHA!
