This is my first review on Yamaha FZ16, I own a black beast. Clocked 17k till date. I’m a Yamaha fan right from my child hood days with my uncles RX100. I was so much fascinated about the torque and the handling of Yamaha. Well when I grew up and the time came to own my own beast. I was waiting for Yamaha to start its new league in India. Have been following Fz right from the initial stages when it was planned to be sold in Indian market. I can say one word that I was obsessed when it will be launched. I went to the showroom asked if they have a black Fz they said Yes and I booked the same. "NO TEST RIDE" They offered me one I said no and I want to ride my own bike only. got the same in 3 days, Now lets get to Facts.
Pros:
Ride Quality is awesome, the mono suspension is a wonder, ride any other bike and then this one you will feel the difference.
Power is great. I change gears only at 6000 rpm for effective pick up.
Handling is best in class, u can really cut sharp corners and its really lord of the street.
Looks needs no explanation.
I get a mileage of around 35 to 40 in almost all rough rides.
Pick up is good up to 65 then it lacks the punch.
Cons:
The seats could be a little more softer
The headlight beam doesn’t focus at all, it just splits wide open highway rides are terrible.
dangerous to ride without right tire pressure.
