I am Madan, located in bangalore. I bought this bike on March 6th. You can view the videos if u need to check abt the bike. The bike is really awesome. I have done around 750 kms upto now. I am getting a mileage of around 45kmpl for bangalore traffic.
Coming to the bike, it has everything what u need for a power drive. pickup is superb in the first and second gears. I didn’t cross the sixty mark as the first service is not yet completed. You can take the sharp turns very easily due to the big rear tire. The tire makes the bike look heavier but indeed the bike is very light compared to other bikes of the same segment.
As you all know about the specifications (lot of people mentioned it in their reviews) I won’t mention any specifications but will mention my true experince abt the bike. At first I thought of buying karizma due to the 223cc engine, rear disc and looks but once I visited yamaha showroom and took a test drive. I was stunned by the performance of the bike. Now coming to the positive side of the bike compared to other bikes. I removed the saree guard of the bike as it adds more glamour.

back radial tyre (first radial tyre for a two wheeler in INDIA)

doesn’t have a kick start (instead yamaha came up with a new option just give a slight push in second gear, the bike will start immediately)
Back seat (its somewhat small compared to other bikes - for families its a big no no - if ur girl like to sit one side, but if she is happy sitting both sides then u could enjoy the ride)
No crash guard (very dangerous when u met with an accident - can opt for one but the bike looks ugly)
Yes the horn is somewhat low but its ok as I don’t blow horn regularly (upto ur wish)

You would be very proud to own a bike like this. A lot of people will glare at ur bike when u stop at traiffic signals, even some enquire abt the performance and mileage. There’s no question of low mileage as the overall weight of the bike is 137 kgs - its very less compared to pulsar or cbz extreme (148 kgs). The rear tire looks so big and its very light tire.
Its a radial tyre so it looks even more bigger. It has the best 0-60 pick up in its segment around 5seconds. No other bike dares to overtake u in traffic signals when the light goes green. Once while checking the bike I took a sharp curve at a speed of 60, U don’t even feel the curve. U don’t even have the slightest jerk or skid problems. The front suspension is very good compared to the back. Gears are really smooth. Very high beam light. Once went out in the rain to enjoy the ride. The brakes perform very good even in rain. No need of specifying the tires, they r the best. The bike performed fabulous but the rear tire had splashed a lot of dirt, the bike became dirty. If you buy black be sure that u clean the bike regularly. It throws a lot of dirt.
