Previously I used to ride Yahama RX 100 and it was in my possession for 13 years. I was very happy with its pick up and comfort. Now I sold it and bought a Yahama FZ 16. It is like a wild beast on the road.... very high pick up in real sense with superb road grip. The most amazing feature is more the engine speed is (4500 rpm above) more is the smoothness. It becomes almost vibrationless at 5000 rpm above at 80 km/h above speed. FZ 16 gives an unmatched comfort with awesome pick up and road grip and it is to easy to control. I would say from my experience that IT IS THE KING OF THE ROAD AT THIS SEGMENT (150 CC). It is giving me a Mileage just 35 kmpl plus within city (kolkata).
I don’t think it will give more than 40 kmpl. However one has to sacrifice something to get something good. It’s fuel consumption is high because of mainly two reasons - 1) The engine is smooth at high rpm as I said above. More is the rpm (engine speed) more is the fuel consumption. 2) The rear tyre is very wide (ensures better road grip and control but high frictional force). Mono shocker is quite good and performs well on rough and uneven road surface. Overall it is worth buying if someone enjoys biking.
