I bought Yamaha Gladiator DLX one month back in Bangalore. I liked the looks and brand of this bike. I was very happ initially but now had few problems. Enough reviews have been given on this bike I have nothing new to give review. Hence I focus on the problems I faced. The problems Iam facing are:
Back Wheel Wobbling: After 2 weeks of buying this, this problem started. Even though I ride on a smooth road and in 5th gear, I feel that bike is not going smooth. A kind of shaky movement of back wheel is observed. I took to workshop and they said they set it right. I think they have not done anything but simply gave it back. The problem persisted. Later I gave for first servicing then they fixed this problem for extra 30 bucks. They are saying that this problem could be because of riding fastly on potholes and on speedbrakers. But this commonly happens in bangalore roads where u never know where the speedbraker/pothole is.. Even after servicing I still observe this problem to some extent. But the mechanic in workshop says its fully alright..
Giving jerk and stopping when shifting from neutral to 1st gear. This problem is mentioned by many.
Headlight focus: I drove it in midnight in B’lore. Observed that the focus in not that good. I was not able to properly see the way. When checked with friends, they are saying itz the same with all yamaha bikes like rx100 etc..
Mileage: Initially I used to get around 50 kmpl. Thaught it will improve after 1st servicing. But seemed to have dropped down to 45-48. I was very disappointed with that. I would really be happy with 55kmpl.
So folks, don’t be under impression that this is not good bike. There are many positives. I focused only on problems because, I would like to know if anyone is facing same kind of problems. Moreover this is my first bike and donno much about other bikes. So can’t compare with other bikes.
Please provide your comments regarding the probs I mentioned. Looking forward for your valuable comments:)
