Gladiator - Lives upto its namectors.

I own a Gladiator type j.a. I bought it last January. Believe me it is the best bike in the 125 cc segment. The best blend of mileage, power, style and torque. Though the torque is less compared to Yamaha standards, it can be compromised for the other factors. I will first put down the negative aspects of this bike as they are very few in number.

  1. The torque is less at low speeds (< 40kmph). But once you cross 40, it just races ahead. This can be overcome by shifting to 5th gear as quick as possible. One amazing fact about this bike is that you can ride at 20kmph in the 5th gear too..!

  2. The engine gives a jerk when shifting to 1st gear during a cold start. This can be corrected by engaging and disengaging the clutch a few times before shifting.

  3. The tyres are razor sharp. Beginners don’t attempt any stunts. Although this is fun if you are an expert at riding.

Now coming to the positive points (plenty)

  1. Engine: Best possible 125 cc engine. Churns out an amazing 11 bhp! Absolutely trouble free. Gives awesome mileage. My glady used to give 65+ on highways.

  2. Gearbox: Good gear ratios. Higher gears give plenty of torque.

  3. Stability: This bike is amazingly stable at speeds above 70 too. You will enjoy cornering in this bike.

  4. Performance: Absolutely maintenance free. Yamaha offers 8 free services. That is more than sufficient for Glady.

  5. Comfort: The riding posture is perfectly designed. I ride 50 kms to and fro everyday for work. I dont feel the slightest back pain.

  6. Style: It just rocks :)

All in all, I would rate it as THE BEST BIKE IN 12g CC SEGMENT. 100% value for money. If you are looking for a performance oriented bike with a sporty touch and feel that does not bother your budget, look no further. Stop riding, stop sport biking.

I recommend Yamaha Gladiator wholeheartedly.

Guys I got a small problem with my bike. I had a puncture recently and had to replace the tube. Ever since the bike lost its comfort and the ride has become bumpy. The mechanics asked me to correct the tyre pressure. I maintain 25 and 35 psi. Still the ride is a bit bumpy. Any solution to this? In case you got a solution to my problem, mail me @ vasu.fire@gmail.com. TIA..!
