This is my first review on Mouthshut.
And I should also mention that I solely relied on Mouthshut reviews before going for the brand new YAMAHA GLADIATOR RS.

I bought it yesterday and I am just loving every aspect of this bike.
I had never seen it on road or anywhere from close.
The first time I happened to lay my eyes on this awesome ride and I was surprised to see its size!
Its really huge and gives u a feel of any 150cc bike!
Man. I was stunned by its looks!
Truly sporty! And every single detail is so cool, doesn’t appear to be a hotchpotch stuff like any other product of hero honda or bajaj in the same segment.
The staff at the showroom was very friendly.and the guy who took me through its features(although I knew them all) invited me to take a test ride!
I was apprehensive in the beginning because all this time I had been riding my scooty which is too old now and I was being asked to ride the best 125 cc bike in the country today!(However I have tried my hands on Bajaj Boxer, Hero Honda Splendor, TVS Victor, Bajaj Pulsar, etc.)
I told him that I was new, so you gotta watch me while I drive.
He made me feel very comfortable and more importantly, GLADIATOR made me feel there was no need for that guy to sit behind me while I drove!
It is so comfortable.just take one test drive and you’ll know.what it is!
I was never comfortable on other bikes while taking any sharp turns.
But in this case, it was an amazing experience as I could take a U turn without even needing to put my foot on the ground so comfortably that I was just awestruck by this never before experience.
Cornering is excellent!
The other most important feature I would like to talk about is its gearbox. It is so smooth, it shifts with a sweet click sound and the response of the engine is truly amazing!
Shouldn’t be talking about looks, coz if you have seen it, you should know what it looks like!
I don’t know about the riding experience above speeds of 40kmph, because its just 2 days old, so I would be updating on this once I am done with the run-in period.
Shortly I would also be updating on the mileage.
The only thing I didn’t like was the petrol tank lid.
the service guy at the showroom warned me to be careful while closing the lid and look for the notch on it which should be facing upwards.
If by mistake, you close it facing downwards, you won’t be able to open it and will have to bring the bike all the way to the showroom to get it undone!
Scary.so please be careful everyone.though I hope there must be some trick. Please update me if you know of any solution so that I can save fuel if at all such a situation arises.
As you ride through the traffic, Gladiator catches everyone’s attention. Gives you a sporty and comfortable feel at the same time.
One last thing I’d like to say is:
You won’t regret buying it! Just Go For It!
Please search google for YBR 125 before buying Gladiator and you will have no doubts in your mind if you are worried about YAMAHA’s reputation or market share in the Indian Market.
Leave the past behind, YAMAHA has made it’s presence felt already with the FZ16 sales shooting up right from the word’go’!
YAMAHA is the future.Better late.than never!
