This is Amit Tewatiya from Goa. I wana to share my experience to all of u, who r going to invest their hard earned money for purchasing a bike. This is specially for them who only decides after watching advertisements. Folks first of all as Heading of my review says use your mind. It is not necessary for a product to be quality made merely if it comes thousand times in ads. SOCHO SAMJHO PARKHO PHIR KHARIDO.
Friends I was searching for a good bike for me which have true value to my money. I have test ridden almost all the bikes of 125CC category. But really the comfort zone u will feel while riding GLADIATOR that will not be felt on any other bike. Friends that is my personal view otherwise just TEST RIDE it u will feel the difference.
Now come to the GOOD & BAD of GLADIATOR. I bought the GLADI (Red & Black) on 20 Jan 09 reviews on Mouthshut helped me a lot to decide for choosing the bike. I was, nt even aware of this bike Here Yamha lacks with it’s competitors. They don’t advertise at all but quality speaks for itself.
PROS Starting from the front
Alloy wheel aluminium cast, means much lighter then others.
Disc brake so precise & accident free. In other bikes disc breaks are optional if u want them u have to pay extra.
Superb front suspension, sporty tank cowl, engine guard (none other bike have in the segment)
Five gears means vibration free engine this is the only bike which does’nt vibrate at high speeds
5 Yamaha DNA engine means u can rely on the quality & almost maintenence free
6 Superb gear ratio to drive in any speed u can drive in 5th gear even at 25 Kph. Toe type gear(some like it some don’t but I like)
Tank capacity 13 Ltr & reserve 1.9 Ltr. Looks of tank are stunning
Weight balance of bike assembled in such a way that handling & cornering of bike is buttersmooth .
Seat is very comfortable and longer than other bikes
Rear suspension is also superb, open & maintenance free chain give a sporty look
Size of bike is such while riding u will feel king size
Milege of my bike presently giving 55-60 kmpl till I hav’nt completed 1st servicing
Price in goa on raod 51440/- Rs which include registration, insurence, road tax charges from Hassan Motors, Taleigao, Panaji, Goa.
Only competitors for this bike in my view with such aspects is CBF Stunner but it costs in goa 59500/- Rs There r many more things which r not sum up here. I am writing only major advantages over other bikes. Here I have not compared with the weak points of other bikes because I don, t believe in criticizing.
*CONS
1.Front No. Plate is above the headlight which is killing the looks of bike but I have modified it by using simlpe clamps & the same No. plate(don’t forget to remove the original attachment clamp) can be fitted below the headlight but don’t forget to bend the ends of no. plate backward otherwise it will be hitting the mudguard during sudden breaks. **Below the headlight there r two bolts to hold the suspension rods, no. plate can be fixed there with the help of simple metallic clamps.
Initial pickup is not very good but after 35Kph it is marvellous.
Battery used is not maintenence free.
No leg guard provided.
It is the last one service centres of Yamaha are not so many.
To sum up all I will only tell that I am really feeling superb with the bike. You will not feel cheated after purchasing this bike. It’s true value for the money.Any one if have a query can mail me at tewatiya@yahoomail.com
