Its been almost 4 months I have been reading all the reviews regarding gladi ss. I bought my gladi ss(black with red) on May26th, 08 from Ambal motors, Chennai.Till now I have completed nearly 2000kms.... I would like to give my review in terms of the following features
Looks:
Well it looks like an race bike.Even many pulsarians, unicornians, apacheians have starred at my gladi ss.
Mileage:
In terms of mileage it depends on ones riding style.Till now I havent crossed 50kmph in my gladi and I am getting a pretty decent mileage around 60 to 68 kmpl both in city as well as high way.
Even with rash driving and city traffic it would definitely give a decent mileage about 53 to 58 kmpl.
Braking:
This is one of the serious problem I am facing with my gladi. At times in slight muddy roads when I apply rear brake it tends to skid due to smaller rear tyres.
I am planning to replace it with the next tyre size as it may eat some 4 to 6 kms in the mileage. But what to do safety is important na.
Features:
Kudos to Yamaha for introducing half chain cover for an 125cc bike in india but I feel it wont suit our indian conditions.
Credits to Silencer design(Machine gun type), foot rest(R1 type), Handle bar design.
My only concern is the lack of trip meter(I dont know why these yamaha guys just left this basic feature in gladi ss) and also front no plate in the doom(It is quite killing the looks of gladi ss).
Comfort:
It is very pleasure to ride Gladi as it has got good height and will perfectly suit the taller people.
Design:
Gladi ss has been designed aero dynamically. If you closely observe the front doom, it looks sharp which helps in piercing through the air ensuring good balance even at higher speeds.
Over all at this price tag:52k......It is a good bike with all the features.
Customer service is really pathetic with respect to after sales service.
In free service they are just doing the water wash and I am scared whether those guys are atleast changing the engine oil
Note:
This is my personal review with respect to my gladi.
