Gladiator SS

Bought the Gladiator SS black 2 weeks back and driven 600 kms. Cant wait to open the throttle, but have to hold back until the 1000kms mark is crossed.

Styling is exceptional. Have received plenty of glances from bystanders and other bikers. The cowls and graphics have done their job very well.

The handling is very smooth. Gear transitions are comfortable and pick up is pretty good. No vibrations or jerky movements. The gear rod is a racing type half bit in keeping with the RS and SS theme of the bike. The quality of braking is superior as you get the front disc brakes to go with the rear drum ones.

The fuel economy is upside of 60 kmpl which is very good considering the overall fantastic package that the bike is.

The downside is the number plate on the front of the bike which is supposed to be mounted above the headlight. Dont go for this option and get the number stuck instead to the headlight or get innovative.

The service of the yamaha dealer also was very good. Professional people. Do remember to get a small bargain on the price.

I considered the Yamaha Gladiator SS Vs TVS Flame Vs Bajaj XCD 125 Vs Honda Shine vs Suzuki Zeus Vs Hero honda Glamour FI. Did a lot of research on the net and zeroed in on Gladiator SS.

I can easily say that it was the right choice.
