That was the time for me to buy a bike. I visited few showrooms, asked price, mileage, pickup and all other information about various bikes. My main criteria in selecting a bike was mileage. Based on mileage I started shortlisting the bikes. At the end of shortlisting I left with 3 bikes In my list. They are Hero Honda splender, TVS Victor and Yamaha Libero.
Now which one to choose? Because Hero Honda splender is old model bike, I removed it from my list. The remaining were Victor and Libero. Which one to choose Victor or Libero? This was also a BIG question. I read so many reviews about Victor. As Yamaha launched Libero right at that moment, there were no reviews available on the net on that bike. I have to take the words of the dealer to evaluate it. Some reviews on Victor gave bad points about that and other reviews gave good points. Then I started thinking. In these two bikes looks wise I feel Libero is great.
I saw the mileage range. For Victor the worst case mileage is 52kmpl and the best case mileage is 80kmpl. Similarly for Libero for the worst case it is 60kmpl and for the best case it is 72kmpl. Let us call the difference in the best case kmpl and worst case kmpl as bandwidth. For libero the band width is less, where as for victor it is more. If you see the stability of mileage Libero seems to be good even its high end is less than that of Victor.
Some Victor owners are telling that it is having starting trouble.
Depending on these factors I baught Yemaha Libero. It was a daring decision because the bike was not tested/reviewed by anyone at that time. Some of my friends baught Victor. Now I started comparing the performance of the bikes. My friends having Victor are getting mileage range from 55 to 65Kmpl. I am using Libero for about a year. The mileage I am getting is 63KMPL. Pickup wise more or less both bikes are same. I don?t have any problem with that bike. I am fully satisfied with the Libero.
The new model of Libero is looking very good. It is having stylish appearance. This bike is meant for those who are looking for mileage bikes. If you want power go for other bikes of Yamaha. My view is Libero gives value for money!!!
