YamahaRX100BUDDIES.
Ive taken her to about 14000feet ASL, onto snow fields.
She is of 1995 model, maroon. have covered about 70000 till date, although the dial froze way back in 2003, showing about 50000. Gues what..... apart from road riding for work / duty - I bought Basanti for off-road adventures. No, not those professional stuff, but just for fun, all by myself out there in the middle of nowhere. Best trip - up Sela Pass, on way to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. the ride is scintillating - to be taken to be believed. Next I wish to ride the NH-1A, in Jammu & Kashmir. Khardung-La, etc.
All I need is a nut-case partner - anyone interested in teaming up. And by the way, We should recapture the past glory of RX100. The Raid-d-Himalaya, are we eligible. If so can someone put me in contact with the organizers.
You may read my adventure chronicle towards Sela at https://freewebs.com/tridib_rs.
AND I M PROUD OF MY BIKE. oooops sorry, my Basanti (she is very sentimental, dont ever call her Bike, as she confuses that with our kaamwali bai.)NBy the way, I belong to Assam, is a mechanical enginner-cum-MBA, and presently teach in University level. Cheers....
