Speed thrills but thrills again!

Yes! I mean it!. Let me introduce my self. My name is Ronnie. I am a proud owner of a Yamaha RX 100, 1986 model bike. Make no mistake this baby is Japanese and it is punched ’’MADE IN JAPAN’’ just underneat the gear shifter. I used to have a Suzuki Shogun earlier but that belongs to a different class altogether. The reason I bought this bike as everyone knows is for the performance, revvy engine and yess the all time orgasmic exhaust note, which you will forget only if you are dead.

First of all I love the bike for its classic Yamaha design. And listen up Pulsar and CBZ kids, you may beat a stock Yamaha RX 100, but if that baby is ported, dont even think about it because you kids will end up smelling some burnt 2T. The only thing I really dont like from a Yamaha RX 100 is, the bike is too light and the braking is really poor on wet roads. But off road, nobody bets a Yam.

My bike is an ink bluecolor with a metallic finish. It sports a fancy number 3645, add it up it comes to 9. Well I dont believe in that crap. But guys say I have a good number for my bike. Its been ported, the piston and the cylinder kit replaced with a custom made one and this one measures 146.9 CC. I also put the fifth gear but I wont use it unless I am above 60 or 70. I really love this bike for the performance it gives. With all these mods, it still gives me a decent 35KMPL. But I aint a speed freak, I use all my power only if someone provokes me. And till today the only bikes I respect in India are the Enfield Bullet and the Yamaha RD 350 and yes Suzuki Shogun and Shaolin. Rest is all crap from Bajaj and Hero Honda. Well I dont have any bad opinions for the CBZ because its a very stable bike even at high speeds. But seriously speaking I hate Bajaj vehicles.

I have had a couple of long trips with my Yamaha, and till date it has’nt disappointed me. We recently went to Nandi Hills with my bike, a Pulsar, a CBZ, a Shogun, and a Thunderbird. The Pulsar and the CBZ were giving a tough fight for the Shogun but even then the Shogun managed the fight. But when it came on to the hilly strech, the fight for the survival of the fittest was between the two legends, Yamaha RX100 and the Suzuki Shogun. It was a close fight but ended in a draw. Well it was a deal between both of us ;-) but where the **** is the Pulsar. We had the CBZ and the Thunderbird in sight after a few minutes after we reached the top, but whre is the Pulsar??. Ahhh there he comes! definitely male! farting. Boy letme tell ya the Pulsar 150 is the worst bike I have ever rode.

WEll the next thing I am planning to do is to go for a tubular swing arm just like the ones you find on CBZ’z and go for the CBZ reaR tire and probably a disc brake in the front. Whatever it is guys maintain the RX and it will work for you till you die, cos that thing cant be killed by anyone.
