To be frank, Im a 2-stroke maniac and thats not the only reason I write on Yamaha 135. Anybody who rode an Yamaha even once will blindfoldly admit that its a speed demon. There are bikes seen on Indian roads today that have more BHP and top speed (Pulsar 150, Karizma, etc), but I bet that none can match the performance rendered by Yam.
Well, a well-tuned Yamaha135s (5 speed) top speed will not go beyond 108 km/h, but its the way it attains that speed appeals. I raced my bike (of course 135) against most other bikes that boasts more BHP like CBZ, Fiero, Pulsar, etc, but none could match its performance.
If what all Yamaha lovers tell was just phantom reality, then why dirt bike racers choose only Yamaha when on track? The answer is simple, its because of its cornering stability and performance.
Mileage... who cares... after all its Yamaha man (neverthless, it gives 45 km/L on average).
Pulling one away from RX aura is nearly impossible. Try an Yamaha and youll never get down from it, believe me.
POSITIVES:
Pickup, performance, stability, ease of riding, better resale value, youthful, allows any number of mods, zero maintanence, and yeah! its Yamaha.
DOWNS:
Poor illumination at nights, fuel economy (though an enthu will not complain), vibrations after 90 km/h mark, polluting and well... nothing else.
