Awesome all round bike for Executives

I waited now close to a year, 5 service interval to tell you the pro and cons of this bike!

Fuel Consumption:

This is not a light weight 100cc budget commuter bike/moped so stop commenting about mileage. How much more do you want from a 150cc bike. Over the months I have got from 37kmpl to 52kmpl depending on how rash or smoothly I rode it. On an average I feel 45kmpl, what I get is decent figure for my riding speed from 30-70kmph.

Comfort:

I liked the direct powered headlamps with a good reflective doom. The bike doesn’t have any vibrations at low or high speeds. It has a very good suspension and comfortable seating. For such a bike, it lets us ride long duration without pain! I can rate it 5+ star! I dont see any other bike provide such good suspension here!

Reliability:

I dont have a kick start, never faced any trouble with crank start! I have rode the bike in flooded conditions and water entered silencer but still I was able to ride back home without trouble.  But faced frequent engine chocking, then had to get the air filter replaced and carberautor serviced to get bike back to condition. Vehicle has been abused at redline too. And other than drop in mileage at times due to my riding habit, I havent faced any issues. Spares and labour are a bit costly but the Yamaha SVC workmanship is excellent, you mention them a problem and they fix it. If not, drop a mail to Yamaha and then the Service center will personally take care.

Looks:

Yamaha is know for their quality, For a 65K bike, this one has awesome looks, that big fuel tank, nice cowls, and height of the bike, silencer position and unique tail lamp all calls for full star rating here.

But this one is a budget bike, they have to sacrifice on something, which is why you don’t get digital console, no pass beam switch, and the saree guard and mirrors are pathetic quality. Seat shakes. Which is why I rate it one star less.

Handling and Control:

Good looks should also come with good handling and the bikes suspension and disc brakes are very good for a low cost bike. But poor gripping TVS tyres, and not so strong rear brakes makes you shiver to go fast when it rain, otherwise its a good bike for city roads.
