I booked the bike and got it after 2 weeks. My bike is black color (Soon post my bikes pictures). My Previous bike was Yamaha Gladiator. I just rode the bike for 4 days and I am here to write a review about it. This bike has 153 cc engine which delivers 12 ps at 7500 rpm. It is better than my previous gladiator. No adrenaline pumping pick up - just some pick up better than gladiator. You cant compare it with other 150 cc bikes like pulsar, hunk. They have reduced the pickup and concentrated more on mileage. The gear shifting is smooth.
The petrol tank is 14 lts. The mileage I am getting is 55-57. It might get increased after my first service. The engine is so smooth and you can feel like flying. The max speed I reached is 60 kmph on a highway. I cannot go further because before 500 kms no speed na na na. At first I thought of missing the disc brakes. But the braking is excellent. No skidding. I would say these are the best drum brakes. The bike is so simple when compared with other 150 cc bikes (no digital meters). But I am absolutely sure that this bike is zero maintenance bike.
The bike is not an eye catching one.But it looks good. I bought szx which has electric starter. There is another model sz - which has kick start(No electric start), no petrol tank scoops. Youths and college dudes who look for power please don’t ever choose this bike.
No raw power, just some power. You can zoom thru the traffic as this bike as good power in first , second gears. Good control and awesome handling. At a price of around rs.60000, This bike is a gem from yamaha. Sz cost around 52, 000. I am fully satisfied.
You can always trust yamaha engine. This bike is for People who can get 55-60 kmpl mileage also with some power, and style.
