I have clocked 16k kms on the bike and have used it for close to 1.5 yrs now so by now I know this machine by its pulse. firstly it is a great bike in terms of handling comfort and braking. the balance on the bike is simply brilliant. Shifting gears is quite smooth with an easy reach to 60kms/hr but what I have noticed is the moment it hits the 80kms/hr mark the engine some seems to be starved of fuel and jerks a bit. apart from this the ride quality on the bike is simply superb.
The lack of a kick-start is a worry but till now there hasnt been a single occasion where the bike hasnt started on the second try of the push button. The mileage I get on the bike is around 43-45 kmpl and I generally ride the bike in mixed conditions of both city roads and drive it a bit rash. I guess with recommended economy riding the bike can gobble down abt 3-4 kms more for the same fuel usage. No trouble with the engine. Only the bike is a bit high for short riders. Me being 55 feel the bike is a bit high but manageable. if you are shorter than 55 pls avoid. if not its a grt bike go ahead and buy it. After all a Yam is a Yam.
