I rushed to yashomathi hospital next to marathahalli bridge with my 18 month old who was bleeding from his mouth not sure how the toy car he was playing with had caused the injury. The bleeding had stopped by the time we got there. We were directed to the ER unit and thankfully we had doctor there who tried to look with a flash light when 3 of us including me my husband and the nurse held him down. He could not get much and said since he is not bleeding now go to the pediatric unit and see doc. We were new so we had to register to go for the pediatric .
After registering him and waiting for the doc to turn up for 30 mins. I tried giving my son his bottle as he was very restless. After a few sucks he started bleeding again. We took him to ER unit again. Where when they tried to check he was bleeding so much that they asked us to settle him down and look for ourself. 15 mins of settling him and probing him again settling I’m and probing him me and my husband finally found out he had a cut under his tongue not on top but below. As soon as we told them we see a cut under his tongue . The doc in ER called someone on phone and told so not bothering to verify not bothering to wear a glove and do the extra bit to make sure it was right. After the call he told us we need to sedate him and stitch his tongue up since its a muscle which won’t heal. Starve him for 4 more hours and we can operate on him. I left from the back entrance of the ER unit and left .
And I am happy I left . I went straight to Brookfield hospital . Where they checked him properly and told us the muscle is meant to heal. A day on my son is actually doing good . On his antibiotics and a pain gel for his tongue.
I would never recommend going to yashomathi. They did not bother to verify what we found and told me to get my son admitted. So they can operate in a few hours .When all he needed was time to heal.When parents panic doctors know they can make money .I would never set foot in that hospital again
