I want to bring to your kind cognizance that I am feeling cheated by yatra.com, .I booked a ticket for my parents from Kochi to Delhi on 15th August 2012 for my Parents.(reference No 9974922, travel date : 19/11/2012). I did use the promo code which was mentioned as ’independence day special’. But when I booked the ticket, no where it was mentioned that the tickets are non refundable. Moreover, When the payment did not go through in my first attempt, I received a call form a representative between 12-1:30 PM on 15th August saying that she will mention a link where I can make the payment again. I asked her if the tickets are refundable for my assurance, and she confirm that they were refundable tickets.
Due to an unavoidable reason my parents could not travel and when I went to cancel the tickets online the refund amount showed as only INR 768, where I booked the tickets for total 10, 208 INR. I tried contacting the customer care . they promised a call back form a senior in couple of hours. but not body called me. few days after again the same thing happened and the rep assured a call back, but till date no body gave me a call back.
this is a sheer case of concealing the real truth from the customer and extracting money in a fraudulent way. I am al prepared for a drastic step against yatra.com to fight for Consumer right.
