I tried to book the flight tickets and also hotels through Yatra.com last year. I wanted the hotel reservation at Manali in the month of Mar. I tried to find the hotels in Manali through Yatra and decied to book at Sterling resorts at Manali. I tried through the web-site which gave some error. Then Yatra people called me and I asked them to do the hotel reservation for Mar.
They agreed and I was happy after noting the transaction ID. Even after a week I didn’t receive any e-mail confirmation. I called up their customer support and asked them. They told me that the booking was for Feb. I was stunned, the date was over when I called them. Then it was my duty to call them daily with some wierd responses. Meanwhile I did the booking in the same hotel through makemytrip.com and went to Sterling resorts and checked if Yatra had done any booking for the Feb dates. They told they had no booking from Yatra. After repeated attempts I was not able to get even a single paisa of the Rs. 10, 000+ which I had paid them. So cheaters had taken whole of 10k+ money!
So my advice to anyone who sees this review is, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE YATRA for any booking unless you have lot of extra cash which these cheaters can take away. My personal experience with makemytrip.com till now has been good though.
