Apathy about consumers

I had booked tickets to and from SIngapore ex Mumbai for 27th Feb’10, which was later postponed to 13th Mar and 21 Mar’2010. The postponement was done directly by Kingfisher airlines. However after sometimes Kingfisher had rescheduled the singapore to Mumbai flight thus forcing me cancel that sector. Kingfisher said that 100% reimbursement of the cancelled ticket would be given and asked me to approach my agent Yatra. However yatra instead of refunding only this return sector cancelled my onward journey from Mumbai to Singapore also without my knowledge and returned the money to my credit card. I have reache the Mumbai international airport with my family and was told that the ticket was cancelled by the agent Yatra.com. This had put me in deep trouble.


Finally I had to buy new tickets to me and my family members thus spending about Rs 12000 more than the original price. Yatra , infact wasnot only couldnot communicate properly but couldnot even understand the problems of its customers. The ticket that wasnot to be cancelled was cancelled and had I not got fresh tickets, my whole journey plan could have got jeopardised. The tense moments , which I and my family underwent in Mumbai international airport was all due to mismanagement of Yatra.


I am indeed asking them to pay for my extra amount shelled for new tickets.
