Hi All,
Recently I tried to book a airline ticket on yatra.com
Good feature of this booking is that it shows the comparative statement of the available flights and its prices. ( This is no new or exclusive feature though).
However, when it came to payment, it failed to process my credit card payment throwing some weired error message. ( I am software engineer by myself, but was amused to see such error) needless to mention these guys should have tested the site thoroughly before going live and airing ads. Anyways,
I got a call from their call centre immediately saying that payment has failed and I need to book again. I promptly did that only to be welcomed by that error.
I called up to their call center ( this time I made a call) to narrate my problem, it took 10 minutes to identify my booking attempt ( For heavens sake, I was holding STD line, not the toll free one). I told her that I had faced this problem and I was told to try and book again, which I did but the error persists. I was told to process my booking again. I said Damm it, why do I come to yatra and experience inconvenience ? I went to the site of Air Deccan and booked the flight directly.
I am worried, what would they do with my card and CV no. now ? When they cannot take of payment processing error, what security would they offer to online transactions ?
