I booked my ticket through Yatra. While booking the ticket, in the complete process I was shown amount of 32420. When I click on "Book" link on itinerary page, they add couple of charges over there "Travel Insurance" and "Beeing Human" Contribution. You have option to remove it. But just in case you missed, you are charged. Luckily I noticed and removed it.
Then I clicked on Proceed to Payment button. But I forgot to check the Payment Amount again. There was extra addition of Rs 675 as Convenience charges.
I came to know when I got the amount charged to Credit card. When I call their customer care , they made me wait for almost 10 mins. 5 mins first person and 5 mins their superwiser. Their simple point is I am showing the amount at every step. You need to check it.
Bottom line is if you are booking through Yatra ..Be vigilant at every step. You don’t know at what step they will add extra charges.
I have decided not to use Yatra in future as I am not that always alert kind of person.
