I want to caution everyone out there who may use yatra.com services in the future.
They are a bunch of crooks with lousy cutomer service. Very recently, in fact, just yesterday, I logged in to book a ticket from Chennai to Vishakapatnam on Kingfisher airlines. Just after completing the form, I gave my credit card details, and holy God, the website went blank!
I immediately got an alert from my credit card about the yatra transaction, so I presumed that my ticket was booked. But even after an hour, I did not receive any message from Yatra re: my booking. I called up the customer care. I was informed that my booking was not confirmed but they have received my payment. The agent told me that she can book another ticket and I don’t have to pay because I have already paid. So far so good. And she proceeded with the booking and gave me my PNR number. I did not receive any sms or confirmation from Yatra.
To my horror, the second booking was charged once again on my card, pls note that the agent assured me that no payment will be charged. I once again called the customer care who were reluctant as ever and also told me that only one payment has been made on my card! What non sense?
I emailed yatra in very strong words. After several hours I got a response that my booking was charged twice and they would issue a refund within 15 days!
Just wondering will they pay my credit card and interest dues for that period? Logical, right?
Overall, it was a traumatic experience. I can only caution you all to avoid using their services.
