I had made a booking on 1-nov 2007. For a stay in Goa for 3 nights at Hotel Goveia
I
had called up the call centre saying that the rates mentioned on the site are not valid for
the said period and whether the booking was available as said on the
website. The call was attended on 2
occasions by the same person on extension 2388 and he assured me that it was a confirmed booking, my credit card was debited for the amount confirmed on, and that I
need not call up at late hours and can go to sleep rest assured I do
not need to call again or pay any more money to yatra or the hotel.
I had even called on 3-11-07 at 6 pm and the call centre worker
replied that it was confirmed and that she would send me the voucher in
1/2 hour .Based on this I have made
a booking on Kingfisher airways from Bangalore to Goa for the said days
for 2 travelers.
Later at 8 pm I receive a call from Gurgaon saying that the transaction is void.
I have already made plans for my
trip based on my queries which were sorted out by your employees on 4
occasions almost everyday, asking for the voucher and I was assured
that since the status was available, I had a confirmed booking and need
not worry.
Yatra is one useless travel portal
The call centre in Gurgaon has no idea of what is available on the site
They give wrong information when asked genuine questions
They are ready to confirm bookings without understanding queries, and put travelers in a fix by their useless info.
And worse of all. They do not accept that they had really uttered
all that was said. Do the call centre employees think we consumers are
liars?
Wasnt the customer always right?
