Yatra.com is a fraud company. if anyone is planning to book. please do spare 2 minutes to read this.
Booked a trip to Sri Lanka.
Hotel and Room Category:
I booked a 5 Start Hotel with an ocean view room. they charged me for same. but informed me a few hours prior to my flight time that they cudnt manage a room with 5 start, so are putting me up in a 3 start hotel, with a base category room.
Taxi and Sightseeing:
I was told, I will have a cab to myself for the days of my stay. but again what happened was. they are giving a cab only to see 2 sightseeing places. and rest are not covered. whereas I was assured, I will get a cab from morning till 12pm at night.
Manager& Travel Consultant at Yatra:
My Booking was done by 1 gentleman. who was on leave the next day. and I had to talk to at least 6 people and explain what I had booked for. They made me pay and then their representatives disappear. so you are lost. they give landline numbers. so every time calling them is another hassle. Their manager said he will look into this. he gave me his mobile number. which has been switched off ever since he gave me his number.
Itinerary:
Was mailed to me after I boarded the flight. cause they took full payment but were not sure of hotel and transport etc etc.
Its been a nightmare to book through yatra. I have been continuously either sending them mails or calling them. they have no responsibility after they take full payment. you may do whatever. They are just making money by cheating clients. and bluffing us. last 2 days has been a torture. I still don’t know where I am staying. there are at least 100 mails that I have written to them. no reply from their side. have submitted complaints on their website. again don’t think they check or are concerned.
Think twice before booking Yatra. Trust me, booking yourself is much more hassle free than going through them. they only make your experience bad.
they should be accountable. if there are more people who have faced similar problem. we should get together and take action.
