I really want to say the trip was not planned well.in fact it was pathetic. I had asked so many doubts to Yatra’s representative before traveling, to that one day he said “Sir, are you traveling first time?”
I was not traveling first time but wanted to ensure that Yatra has planned the trip well. I faced number of issues in the trip planned and was worried for this only and that’s why was querying all the time.
Some of the bad experiences stated below:
1.The Hotel in Pattaya was pathetic. I had told several times that I am going on Honeymoon trip and want a very good hotel.
If expenses are more I am ready to pay but Yatra assured of good hotel and service.
None of the hotel staff could speak English and I had hard time conveying them simple things just entering the hotel.
I was frustrated with this type of service and even My wife too.
2.Worst part of the hotel was that, One lady (lady could be a wrong word…actually a prosti**te) passed by when I was returning to my room.
And asked whether want to do massage and continued saying that more things is also available.
Tell me what would have happened if my wife would have been with me? What type of hotel I have booked?
No welcome gifts/no welcome drinks even. Room interiors were promised to be good but they were not even near a single * category hotel.
I asked many people around me coming from India and they had booked 3 to 5 star hotels in same or less as the price I paid.
2.The vendor for Yatra Welcome tours:
No one was there to pick us up @ airport. We had to wait for 1 hour at airport for their person.Finally he didn’t arrive.
Somebody on behalf of him came and showed us procedure to go to Pattaya from there.
I asked whether a good sim is available, he sold a new SIM to me asking double the actual price!
If other people cheat, that can be understood but if the vendor itself is cheating what you have to say for this?
3.For Alcazar show, Guide of the vendor said she booked tickets for one show and asked to be ready @ hotel.
We got ready and waited for her but she didn’t turn up. when I called her she said she could not get the tickets and now has taken tickets for next show.
She wasted lot of time in this process when the show was already planned in itinerary. Even worse, she bought tickets of last row in balcony for us.
This is really pathetic not just this show everywhere she kept on buying the minimal costing tickets from where we could hardly watch the shows.
Do you call this a good service?
4.3rd day noong nooch village trip was planned. I had booked for whole day trip. The driver came late and we reached there just for show. he asked to watch the shows and return back to hotel immediately. Just tell me, a garden of area 600 acres can be seen in 30 minutes?(he gave only 30 minutes excluding the show duration).
We decided to stay back and enjoy the place for full day as there was nothing planned by us for remaining day. I had to pay 700 Baht for my return journey to Pattaya. I had booked whole day Trip to Noong Nooch even if not whole day he should have stayed there for half day atleast.but he did not.
5.While taking back to Bangkok from Pattaya, I had to wait for driver for more than 2 hours, wastage of two hours of our trip time to wonder in Bangkok.
- In Bangkok city tour only one Buddha statue temple was covered, not the golden temple and also not the old palace. How can this be called a "Bangkok city tour"? Sightseeing is included means tickets and guide charges also. We had to pay at many places for guide fees.
7.Was almost a victim of Gems scam but survived through it.
Before this incident happened to me, I had talked with Yatra’s vendor person there in Bangkok.
when I had called her saying that temple was closed for two hours as per a person standing at the gate, she could have warned or corrected me that there is no such closing of temple in day time and this is done by these people involved in Gem scam.
She being a tourist company employee she should know that there is no such close time and should have informed us of scam. But she didn’t.

8.In Safari Park also driver made hurry to return to Bangkok as he wanted to catch some other tourists, and made us miss some of the shows in Safari Park for his personal reason.
9.In evening, Vendor guide told that driver will come to pick us up for Cruise @ 5.30PM but he didn’t turn up till 7.15 PM. Cruise was to start at 7.45
We had to board the Cruise just in time sweating ourselves!
Is it an appreciable experience on a honeymoon trip?
I will say dont think even a single time, Dont book your trips any I say wit Yatra if you want to njoy it.
