I have been a yatra user since quite a lot time. I only used yatra to book my ticket as it was cheap and gives ecash which we can redeem. so while going the tour package and buy travel insurance I tried yatra.com
I generally dont review on one time basis. I have faced same problem twice that the reason I m reviewing it
the experience is shared in 2 parts
one was last year aug 2017 when I was traveling to Mauritius and had bought travel insurance along with the travel tickets.i kept chasing them till wee hours of my flight and never received the insurance copy . when I complained they said its the third party and the delay was from their .
according to me when u sell something on ur website its ur responsibility and cant just shrug in on the other company or it would have been better I would have done the travel insurance directly from the insurance companies. anyways this is old now
the recent thing is. I have booked a europe private tour package from yatra to travel in month of may.i did my booking mid march and still I m chasing them to do my visa and get my other details .
once the booking down payment is done . after 10 days I received a mail from one of the executive saying she will be my point of contact for all pre travel formalities. the only source of communication was her email id and board line number with her extension . she never got in touch with me for any of the documents . I kept chasing her leaving my work as it v difficult to connect to the boardline number and once its connected she doesnt answer her extension and it gets transferred and the other person says he will will her to call me back but I never receive the call. I mail her she never replies and by chance if I get through her number she says I have not yet checked the mail. other thing they charged me for visa process but everything is self service and for any work they saying its chargeable[ basis as they dont have any office and its third party so they will charge me for documents pick up and all . where they already charged me for the service
I have to keep calling the sales executive again again who sold me the package . when I complain to him about her he says its peak time and she v busy with others client, am I travelling for free? when I scolded him last yday he made me talk to her and then she said she will mail me positively by eve . today again same no mail, no contact . she cant give mobile number too as company policies . they are so least bother and its a very causal approach
I have to leave my work in middle and keep calling them . its so tiresome and not at all a good experience the same I had faced last year with my insurance copy and now with latest booking
