DAY1 (after 3-4 days past booking):
I am having a bad experience with Yatra.com international ticket booking. I booked tickets from India to US for my wife and kid to travel from India and paid Rs70K thru ICICI net banking. Since I am in US, I was thinking the e-ticket will be emailed to me asap. To my surprise, I get an email with a confirmation# and asking for credit card autorization letter. Now why would they need credit card when I paid thru netbanking.
This below one worries me now..
I called customer service and gave them the confirmation# I got thru email to ask them why I should send credit card letter and to know status of my booking. To my shock the customer service person says that conf# is not in their system. To prove my case, I have forwarded the email I got from yatra.com, ICICI bill pay online screenshot, ICICI Transaction ID. Now I am worried & waiting for their reply after giving away 71K to a website.
So much struggle to buy a ticket, I should have called the airline directly and book ticket.
Did anyone face such issue when booking international thru yatra.com?
Will update what happens next....
DAY 2 - No reply from yatra.com. Now i have to make a international call to india and check the status.
*DAY 3 -Issue solved, looks like their system takes time to update. Today they confirmed everything and sent me an email. But still not an effective system. Lots of improvements needed.
