My worst fears have come true. 3 weeks since I booked with Yatra.com and their service department has driven me absolutely crazy. First they contact me at odd hours.. I got the first call from their service department late one evening around 7:30 PM. A certain Harsh Chaudhry said that he is my contact from the service team and will be updating me regarding my thailand trip that I had booked. Since I was getting into a meeting I told this dude to call me back later.
4 days passed and I got no calls from them. Then I chased the guy every day and finally managed to get a grammatically incorrect oneliner "For your hotel will tomorrow talk". This continued till I finally called the lady who had done my booking in the sales team (Ms mekhla). She promised that some action will be taken and the very next day I got a call from the elusive Mr Chaudhry confirming my booking details etc for me. great, good excellent... My next question was what are my payment options? to which I got a prompt reply : will let you know tomorrow. That tomorrow has not come yet. It has been more than a week.
Amazingly enough 3 days ago I got a call again from their service team asking me for Feedback for my experience with yatra.com. I blurted all my troubles with the service team. the person on the phone said "Dont worry sir we will take care of it and make sure action will be taken on this. As for you payment details, I will personally look into it right away". Trust me, I have not got any calls till now on this, nor any E-mails. I guess the feedback guy is busy getting personal with my details.
Seriously speaking I think Yatra.com is a total dissapointment. They are just not professional enough to give you a good experience specially when this is regarding travel where you want to be pampered and feel special.
Be very very careful before choosing Yatra.com as your travel agent. you will lose a lot of hair. it is better to contact the Hotels directly.
