I have never ever thought of sharing my experiences about the shopping from yebhi.com, but recently I have seen some official responses from yebhi.com so I thought of sharing feedback with them and all.


Yebhi.com was started as bigshoebazaar.com but now they have they have diversified their product categories hence the change in name. It offers free delivery on all items with 24x7 customer support, 48hrs delivery and 30-days money back guarantee.


They have wide categories, mainly




  1. Shoes




  2. Clothing




  3. Bags




  4. Lifestyle- Eyewear, fragrances, camera, tablet, mobile and mobile accessories.




  5. Jewelry & Watches




  6. Home and Kitchen- Home appliances, entertainment, home furnishing, gifts, home décor & home furnishing.






There are few other categories and you can even recharge your mobile through this site.


Product search


Searching a product is quite easy. You can narrow down your choices or can directly search for a specified product by ‘search’ option. Importantly, this is nothing new as almost all the online portals are following the same procedure.


Like all the other portals, this portal is also not free of errors. Many times I have noticed that an item is visible for a specified ‘size’ search but while ordering, the message comes that it is out of stock or recently sold out. I will not say that it is extremely negative point but there is definite scope for improvement.


My Good Experiences


Although I have watched some TV commercials of yebhi.com, but I exactly don’t remember that how I landed on this site. In last six months, I have experienced all the major online portals of India and I can confidently say that this site delivers product really very fast. Many times, I have received shipping details with in few hours of placing my order (though it is not a guarantee of shipping). It seems as if their logistics department is always ready with the packaging.


The customer support is quite helpful. And the best part is that the waiting time to get connected to a customer support executive is very less, it hardly exceeds one minute.


My Bad Experiences


This site says that you can return a product with in thirty days of receiving it without mentioning any reason and they will refund the amount in cash or voucher. As per their conditions, it is mentioned that they will also refund the courier charges. I too have returned the items three times (if I exactly remember). First time, they contacted me and as per my wish refunded the money.


Second time, they tried to contact me and since I could not be contacted they generated discount voucher and mailed it to me. I wanted cash refund so I mailed them to transfer it to my mentioned account number (the item was ordered COD). Ironically, no one responds to my mail. I mailed them 3-4 times in a span of 3 days without any response from their side. Finally I called them and they agreed to send the amount by cheque (they don’t have provision to transfer the amount in one’s account number). And the last time when I returned the product, no one tried to contact me, instead they mailed me the discount voucher without asking my consent.


Once, I ordered a converse shoe to gift it to my brother. When I received the shoe, I was shocked to see the condition. It was packed in a yebhi.com box (against the expected branded ‘Converse’ box) and the condition of the shoe was like it was used for last one year. And more interestingly, I ordered number-9 but received number-10 shoe. It was a blunder from their logistics and quality check department (if there is any).


Now, I would like to mention the return shipping charges. I was never refunded any amount against shipping the items back to their warehouse. Once I asked them about the refund and they asked the documentary proof (scanned copy of money receipt). I felt it useless as the item delivered to their doorstep is itself a proof that it was sent by a courier by paying some charges.


Yebhi.com sends me SMS on daily basis giving some or other promotion vouchers that can be used to get conditional discounts on purchases. Recently I have received two vouchers on consecutive days mentioning that it is applicable for “EVERYTHING”. But when I tried to purchase a juicer, it says that it is not applicable for this product. I expect transparency from yebhi.com mentioning exact terms & conditions with every offers or promotions.


Positives




  1. Vast collections of varied categories.




  2. Some or other promotions or discounts on daily basis.




  3. Quick customer support.




  4. Super quick delivery.






Negatives




  1. Discrepancy in return shipment policy.




  2. Lowest price not guaranteed. I have seen many products that are available at lower or discounted rates on other online portals.




  3. Sluggish web-based customer support.




  4. Promotion vouchers not clearly mentioned/ visible on website. You have to depend on other sites to check any offer or promotion (else you will be fooled by paying whole amount).






Recommendations


Despite all my bad experiences and negatives of this portal, I used to check it on regular basis to search for some new product of my choice. I am very much confused by their promotion vouchers and expect transparency. Either it should be discount for all or none. It should not be felt that you are being cheated or fooled.


I would recommend this portal with caution that please compares the prices from other portals or a store near you. Most importantly, check out thoroughly before purchasing or consult customer support as there may be a chance of promotion on your purchasing.

At Yebhi, we are constantly trying to improve ourselves and align our systems to the customers requirements.A clarification on your bad experiences :When we receive an article back, we called the customers to inquire their refund preference. Almost 90% of our customers opted for a voucher. However, this delayed the refunds because a lot of customers were often not contactable. Keeping this in view, we have recently started generating a refund voucher by default, and allow the customer to opt for cancelling this voucher and taking a cash refund. This allows us to issue refunds faster, without disturbing the customer with too many calls. Going forward we would make it even easier for the customer to choose their preference themselves.In converse, since many of their articles are made in the US, the product's sole would mention a size larger than the size mentioned on the flap. This is because the sole in made in the US where the sizing is one unit higher than the UK or Indian sizing. So a UK size 9 shoe, would mention size 9 on the flap and 10 on the sole.The box may have been changed because the original box was damaged during storage.For the refund charges, please mention your order numbers so that the same can be investigated. We are also working on automating that.Your point on 'everything' is valid. It was an manual error which was realized late when the msg had already been sent.At Yebhi, the vastness of our offerings and customer dynamics, presents us with a large variety of issues, and we keep innovating to address them.
