Sends defective product, but replaces on demand.

I recently ordered a Philips toaster HD4816 from yebhi.com via order num YBH1492447. It was a gift to my buaji on her birthday. Later, she realized the outer body is broken near the knob and subsequently informed me. I registered complaint with Philips first via ref no 836943. They asked her to take it to service center for replacement. Personnel there, informs her that it has to be replaced by yebhi.com itself. I felt very bad and immediately contacted yebhi’s customtakeouter support for redressal only to be greeted by their vague reply which violates their own return policy as written on their website.(Email reply is mentioned at the end). Their website states: "Electronics: If you want to return any product you can do so, within a period of 7 days, from the date of dispatch. The packet seal must be intact. Once unsealed, the product cannot be returned unless for any manufacturing defect." 7 days return is applicable only for sealed products, NOT for manufacturing defects or transit damages which can only be figured out after opening product.


But on the whole the idea is, it was a huge embarrassment for me that my gift reached my buaji in a damaged state, and she had to visit service center only to be denied replacement. It was my first experience with yebhi.com and was worst so far.


Buyers please take your informed decision before going forward with yebhi.com. Better stick with reputed e-commerce brands like flipkart.


And yebhi.com- Remember one dissatisfied customtakeouter is a biggest liability, just as a satisfied customtakeouter is a biggest asset.
