We decided to visit Yellow House Beach Holiday Resort after browsing through a number of locations on the internet. We were surprised to find the resort almost empty and thought of it as our advantage. But we were wrong. This was perhaps the only place where all the rules and regulations were thoughtfully framed to benefit the resort owners the most and leave the customers in lurch. There are too many absurd rules to this place and it becomes too much to bear for the visitors.The rooms are small and average in decor and quality. The service is below average and was smartly cut down to size since the guests were on the lesser side. The kitchen was non-functional. the food was cheaply outsourced from some house nearby(it seems) and lacked professional finesse. The breakfast timings were too early and has limited options. There was no proper buffet system as promised. The meal arrangement looked like one stop gap arrangement. They were brought in an auto from somewhere outside. The lunch and dinner that arrived late was also a dampener as the rice quality was substandard, dal was watery and the so-called buffet menu was also way below average.The rooms are ok and suitable for an average stay. The English toilets were just bearable. The Indian Style washrooms had no flush. We assumed there would be music but we were surprised to know that music was allowed but we need to carry our own music arrangement. The only saving grace was that the swimming pool was clean and well maintained. Please don’t opt for Yellow house and spoil your weekend. There are many better options in Alibaug that are priced much better than this place that’s nothing less than a comedy of errors. Strictly avoidable!Even if that means cancelling your Alibaug holiday!
