Yercaud is a small hill station located in Salem district in Tamil Nadu. It is around 38 kilometres from Salem city and is accessible by road. For those travelling from Bangalore it’ll take around 6 to 8 hours to reach there. This is a place for those who like to trek because there’s nothing else worth to see there. Yercaud lake with boating, Pagoda point and view of Salem city. That’s about it.
Hotels as usual are expensive and will definitely burn your pockets for substandard amenities.If you’re planning a weekend plan please avoid it isn’t worth wasting a Sunday over it.
Overall I’ve had a bad experience during my visit and personally wouldn’t recommend someone to visit Yercaud. To be honest I’ve seen better hill stations and maybe expected something more from it and ended up disappointed with the place.
