I owen Yezdi Classic D-250, make 1981, a real classic bike. Although I learned bike on 100 cc bike, but riding on this classic machine is a amazing.
Now days I ride on this bike only weekends, It is a bike which attract attention of many people on road because of double exhaust pipes, specially youngster who have hardly seen Jawa’s & Yezdi’s & middle age people who have sold their classic machines.
My classic has original Czechoslovakia made Jikvo carburator.For better fuel efficiency you can replace Jikvo carb with Mikuni, you can get average of 30-32 Km/lit
I call gear system as Magic system, a gear leaver is used as Kick to start this bike, this bike can be started at any gear just by dpressing clutch.
While starting you have to tickle the choke and do priming of kick to generate pressure(compression), which is excatlyy oposite of Royal enfield where decompression is required before starting.
The bike has good power 13 bhp and good torque 2.1 Kgm @ 3500 Rpm, for Royal enfield Bullet it is 2.75 Kgm at 3500 Rpm.
Pick up is excellent 60 Km/hr within 5 seconds .
Sometime I ride at max speed of 100 Km/hr .
It is a best bike for long distance. Yezdi classic is a real Classic.
