Say ''yez'' to the yezdi roadking

Am back again after a brief hiatus, the first thing which struck my eye was a a revu requirement for the roadking. Now this bike has been my teenage fantasy right from the time any normal boy would dream about riding a powerful bike and all the works. The nfield as everyone knows is india`s answer to the harley davidson but the yezdi roadking was the one with both the power and the looks which any youngster would drool over.

it packs a cool 250cc engine and two silencers which are intended to produce the trademark phut phut sound which yezdi is famous for.The unique gear cum kickstart shaft which bounces back to position once the engine has fired up was a wonder and a potential hazard each time you kicked it.Amongst freinds we used to compare it to a girlfreind who kicks back when not treated properly or generally if not in the right mood, for you never could predict when it would recoil and give you a jhatka!!!

I got my brand new red color roadking when I entered my first year in college and it was the darling of all those lesser souls who had a moped or a scooter or even worse those who came by the luxurious state transport corporations.

My ’’roadie’’ (tht`s how I used to call the bike) has served me quite faithfully over the period of 3 yrs in college in spite of all the rough use , multiple users, periodical towing away by law enforcement officers etc.

But for the present levels of pollution and the pre-occupations which I carry in head while travelling to work nowadays I would still ride my roadie each day and every day.
