It gives me great pleasure to write review on this excellent motorcycle ’ Ideal Jawa- Yezdi Roadking’. I Purchased Roadking in 1983 , till date I have done 95K kilometers, Colour is Black.
When I purchased , very next week I got engaged with a beautiful girl (Anita), & for 3 months we use to ride on Roadking on every saturday-Sunday in mumbai, it was golden era of my life because I was with Roadking & Anita, One day in a restraurant she said ’I like your Roadking we should rename it as Roaring king’ I said ’Yes it is roaring king with two exhaust pipes’.
My two friends also have Roadking , we have seen most of the forts in Maharashtra with our Yezdi’s. It most reliable at any condition of road with excellent comfort & road grip.
Riding in Konkan in month of august with Roadking is totally different experience, Roadking will climb ghats very easily. We three had longest tour on our Roadkings , from Dadar - Udaipur- Dadar in October 1988, without any breakdown, we covered approximately 800 km (Dadar-Udaipur) in 2.5 days , I got milage of around 25 km/lit .
Roadking has good pick up as well as pulling power, It is best cruser bike for Indian roads, that may be the reason company has given name ’Roadking’. One can have top speed of 110 Km/ hrs, with good braking & excellent roadgrip.
Royal Enfield Bullet STD (1987), Hero Honda CD 100 (1989 ), Kawasaki 4 S champion (1992) have joined Yezdi Roadking in my garage, very soon I will write review on them.
