This review is to share the experience/ love with YRK with you all.My uncle used to own a 1984 Yezdi Classic for a very long time. As a kid I used to sit on the bike and dream of riding it sometime. As time passed I grew up, and started riding bikes, but was really scared to take the yezdi out. One day (in 1996)got a chance to ride my friend’s Yezdi Roadking (YRK). and I fell in love with this bike.
Ever since had a dream to own a YRK. My deam came true when I got a chance to buy YRK in 2009. A love affair for 13 yrs. Today I own a YRK, and I feel like GOD on this bike. When I see todays kids who are in college wanting to buy a YRK just for fun I feel bad. these kids have spoilt the market for YRK.
My bike starts in first kick, has beautiful engine, good pickup, and more over its peppy on road. A show stopper. Demands Attention. Very reliable, all metal and super handler. The technology was way ahead for the time YRK was relised (like auto clutch technology, Oil pump in the Oilking).
My advice to all who want to own a YRK. You need to fall in love with this bike, then only buy it. Milage, super pickup, disk brake etc are not with Road-king. But fun, an Experience for lifetime and passion is for YRK. My Advice: Love it like your wife, maintain it like gold, a friendship for ever( forget mileage- who cares if you own a YRK).
