Roadking the beast!!

Hi I am Gautham from Mangalore, I own a 94 model Roadking CD ignition, and equiped with Jikov carborattor with no Battary related electricals like Indicators, horns and brake lights.. and even now it is the same.. :). This is a very down to earth bike for Indian roads. It has the features like cruising till the top speed of 120 kmph and as well as the tough riged features. It has been built up with single cradle but strong chasis which keeps a bit low in the back and high in the front side. This is what the main feature for the better road grip and for better turning angle that no other bike can give. one can tilt the bike than any other bike can do. Even the Bullets have more weight than Yezdi’s but the tilting angle is more in Yezdies.

This bike will be performing smoother and better once the engine heats up properly. I used to ride the bike around 24 km per day and used to push back most of the pulsers and the CBZs.. only clouds of smoke used to accumulate at the back..

It is low height bike and even though the comforts are too good even including pillon rider. Its braking is not upto date (cable operated brakes) eventhough one can manage at any normal speeds. The only drawback with the bike is its Jikov carborattor.Sometimes petrol gets overflowed, but one who is practiesd can start the thing easily and I used to get 32 to 34 kpl in city riding conditions and 36 to 38 kpl for loang distance. Running with the muffler on will be good till 60 to 65kph, but for more speeds removing mufflers will be a better option it is because the ride will not be that much smoother with mufflers. Suspension’s are not a big deal in this bike most of the potholes can be faced  without a big thud. Auto clutch is a very good feature which has the advantage to relaxing fingers while applying the clutch in city riding conditions.

Features needed to be improved:  Braking needs to be improved for the speed it goes.

Even thogh now I am at Mumbai, I did not sell my bike.. its in my native maintained by my friend. Whenever I go there I will be riding my Roadking..

So folks if you are having a Roadking please don’t sell it preserve it and enjoy the ride. its a beast :)
