Fairy impressed by the first two reviews about YLG at Mouthshut, my sister and me decided to visit their newly opened parlour @ HSR Layout, last week. Though the place looked glam, their service was very very poor. They didnt even have a decent catalogue. It was only a tattered photocopied book.
Every one, right from the receptionist to the beauticians, were only interested in getting you to sign up for their membership. You say you want a haircut, the staff looks at your hair and right away suggests you to take a three month hair spa membership which would cost you around 8000 bucks. If you dont seem interested they try to lure you by offering some complimentary beauty treatment. Somehow we managed to escape all this and decided to try their service once before taking any decision on the membership. Later, we were very thankful for doing this.
The staff who did our waxing and pedicure was completely unprofessional. They claim that their new waxing technology is painless and easy. But the way we were roughly handled, we decided that the regular waxing at other parlours was far better. In fact, after coming home we noticed a few bruises on our arms and legs.
Forget about feeling pampered. But for the money you pay, you would expect some kind of decent service atleast. But eveything is done very carelessly - there were patches of unwaxed hair here and there after the waxing and when I mentioned it the response I got was that the lighting in the room was not proper. TheAfter wax oil was dabbed just procedurally and I had do that myself to remove the stickiness of the wax. Same story with the pedicure. The lady completely forgot to use the foot file and after I mentioned it I got a couple of scrubs here and there and that was it.
Verdict - Highly untrained and unprofessional staff. Bad customer service. Not worth the money that you are spending.
