I purchase the Yo Speed assuming that it will cost less. But what I figured out that only advantage is less sound. One need to charge the scooter for four to eight hours at least once a week. The spare part cost is pretty high. Once a spare goes bad, the service center takes more than two months to replace it. It happened when controller of my scooter went bad. I had to survive without scooter for two months. After about 12000 Kms of running, the battery has conked off and it will cost me Rs.15000. The depreciated cost of the vehicle is about 4000.
If I would have bought a petrol scooter, considering the depreciated cost, cost of petrol, easier maintenance, and certainly better service network, less time in repair, buying Yo Speed was a wrong decision. My suggestion to users do not go for this option. Buying a efficient petrol scooter does make sense. Else wait for hybrid options, if they arrive in future.
After last repair when the Batteries were replaced, the scooter has stopped working again after two months. It seems the spares provided by company are of low standard. Further, the service center has been put off the list by Yobyke and the other services center is not willing to honor guarantee given by old vendor. I am fed up and now selling this scooter in whatever price I can.
