Yo China. The place brings back bad memories and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I went there one day with friend to order a quick lunch. The place is walkabel from my office and we wanted some quick Chinese food. Being takeaway too we expected quick service.
Well we walk in and seat ourselves comfortably. The place looks quite Ok. Ordering was no problem, as they had a number of combos both in veg and non veg sections. Both of us being chicken freaks order some chicken combo, we could choose between rice and noodles too.
The food arrived 20 mins later. Do not know what took them so long. I saw then fishing out the food from some containers at a counter. Well at east if the food was worth the wait I would not have minded. Both the noodles and rice were bland and colorless, not to mention tasteless. The gravy was just yuck- cant find another word. I had dark brown(close to black) gravy/ sauce with some stuff added to it. This was supposed to be chicken. When I tasted the rubbery piece, I knew at once that this was not chicken. I gave my friend a piece and she too said the same. I called a waiter and explained- he looked very confused- took my plate away are retuned with the same plate but a new black oily gravy. Well this did not look or taste better, but it was chicken. I called him again and he said the previous one was veg. I really hope some vegetarian was not munching away on some chicken. The como contained spring rolls. This too was oily and cold and hardly contained any stuffing.
In short it was bad. To top it all the food did not agree with my tummy also.
