Chinese cuisine happens to be my weakness, and so when my colleagues decided to have lunch at Yo! China, I was all for it. Yo! China is located on 80 ft, Koramangla, opposite to Pizza Hut.
We went there on a weekday around 1:30 p.m., and the place was moderately crowded. We easily got a seat for four and started leafing through the menu. The menu offers a lot of combo meal options. A basic combo here comprises spring rolls, kimchi, fried rice/noodles and a side dish(veg/non-veg with curry).
We first ordered soups for ourselves but regretted the decision the moment they arrived. They were extremely low on flavor and very high on starch. It would actually have been a good idea to carry it back home to starch my cotton dresses! Soup is, need I say, a strong no-no there.
After a while our combos arrived which were steaming hot and thankfully not disappointing. I would call it value for money. They serve the combo in a large wooden tray. It was quite filling and I couldn’t finish all the food. There obviously was no question of trying out their desserts.
The service wasn’t really prompt; the spring rolls were missing from our combos, and we had to ask for them twice.
The place is light on the pocket; the price per head would come up to around 150.
Parking is a problem here, as the place is located on a busy road, and they have no room for parking, neither do they offer valet parking. You could find a suitable parking place only across the road, in one of the by lanes.
I would classify it as a mediocre eating joint, dishing out popular Chinese fare. Not recommended if you are looking for fine dining.
