I have been a YOU Telecom customer since the last 4 years or so. I am a heavy user and pay them almost 4k a month.
My modem conked out recently. I called them: They said pay 2k (refundable) and we will put another modem. I said ok. The guy was at my doorstep in the next 2 hours to collect the cheque!
I guess the "Collection" department is the only that works in YOU Telecom. I then began the slow agonising wait for a new modem. 2 days passed; no response.
I have been calling them since then. The call center is totally out of sync with the ground position. After I called them 3 more times, someone called me back to ask me: "Did someone come & fix the modem?" This is on day 5. I said No. He said Ok and hung up.
Finally, on the 8th day, I called Airtel for a new connection. They finished the wiring and the connection the next day itself!
I was still hurting from the way I was treated by YOU Telecom. I did some Googling and found the CEO Mr. Chakravarthy’s email id: EVS.Chakravarthy@youtelecom.com
I sent him an email about the state of affairs in his company, and suddenly I had a flurry of calls from their top management to the technician. Still, no modem! Finally, one of technicians (Its Day 10 now) came & fixed the new modem.
I have anyway moved on, and I would suggest you to not to consider them for a new connection. Those of you still with YOU Telecom, send emails to the CEO if you need any help; as the rest of his team do not really do anything for the customer.
