Tall Claims Terrible service. I wont recommend Youbroadband to any new customer.
I had signed up for 12MBPS hurricane plan. Sounds great isnt it? The net was fine in the beginning and the speed was fair enough. But over the last one month its a pathetic state of affairs. I wonder why I shifted from Tata/ Airtel to the claims of these idiots.
It started with the offering of one month free with 3 months of prepaid service.
However, I didnt get the 1 month free. They refused saying that they didnt promise any such thing and their SYSTEM doesnt reflect that. I had to send them a scanned copy and was disconnected for 4 days before my net was restarted. By the way 4 days to reconnect was good by their standards. Log any complain with them. They would say, we will get back to you within 24 working hours (mind it, its 24 working hours or 3 days and not 24 hours). And did you read it right? Please read it carefully again. Its not a timeline for resolution; its just the timeline for contacting me back. However, it would be a pleasure if they contact you back within 24 working hours. Twice they have missed those deadline for even a call back. As any polite bunch of morons, they do not hesitate to say a "Sorry". There have been an instance where they forgot to forward the complain number for 3 days. That was with me calling up 5 times a day asking the status.
However, I must admit that they called up on that occasion to say "Sorry. We missed the deadline as we forgot to forward the complain" Oooops!!!! Talk of net speed? Well it may often be good if you get lucky (read as connected to the net). Run the speed testing on any damn website (I tried speed test from 8 independent) and in the best case the speed goes up to 1.6 MBPS.
Try it on youbroadband site, the speed would be 11.5 MBPS. Thats how they offer the best speed in the market. Intelligent … ehhhhhh? In the bad case when google takes 15-20 seconds to open, their speed test shows amazing results. Any guess??? 9.5 MBPS!!! The customer care says … if you are getting this speed, the net has to be good. There may be issue with google website. And the best instance of all, they accidentally blocked all the websites except google websites.
No yahoo, no facebook, no flickr, no damn website in world. However, I was told, since google, google news, google images, google finance etc are working, this is not net disconnected. You are not eligible for service credit for a period when this issue persist. So if I am not able to visit the sites of my choice for 5 days, I have to still pay for those days, but only browse the sites which they chose to provide me. Just curious, is Kapil Sibbal running this company?
In the last one month, I have 11 complain numbers but 5 of them were closed without any resolution or action. But lets look at the positive side. These are still under 50% and so nothing to worry.
If you are one of those who use net once in a while and can patiently wait like a week for net to be connected back, your search ends here. Look no further. Youbroadband is here for You.
